Malam Jabba



Malam Jabba, an astonishing hilly area, is situated in Swat Valley which is located in one of the administrative provinces of Pakistan; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.  This hill station resides in the mountain range of Hindu Kush which is approximately 40 kilo meter away from Saidu Sharif (from east side), 51 kilo meter away from Saidu Sharif Airport and 314 kilo meter from Islamabad (from north-west). An enchanting ski resort of Pakistan is located in Malam Jabba. While, the other resort is sited at Naltar, Gilgit Baltistan.

The altitude of Malam Jabba Ski Resort is nearly 2804 meters. This ski resort is considered as the biggest and oldest resort of Pakistan. The slope of this ski resort is about 800 meter. This resort was built by the collaboration of Pakistan Government and Australian Government. In 1988, the Malam Jabba resort was completely made. The chairlift, boots and skis were sponsored by Australian Government. However, the hotel (comprises on 50 rooms) which resides in the resort was constructed by Pakistani Government. In 2014, the resort was rebuilt by Samson Group of Companies and presented numerous up-to-date facilities.

Malam Jabba Dara has a number of small communities and villages i.e. Malam, Kishora, Salanda, Talegraam, Ser, Jehanabad and Jabba. On the main way of Malam-Jabba, a small village; Malam is situated. Malam (17 kilo meter away from Manglor) is located just before Kishora (18 kilo meter away). Jabba, the top most part of the entire Dara, is 12 kilo meter away from Kishora.

The famous Bluebird Powder days of Malam Jabba present the most captivating and fascinating view. These days are characterized by sunny day with slight winds and followed by snow fall. In winters, snow fall for a very little time like two or three minutes make it like a fairy snow sure. The entire hill station is covered with snow.  Apart from skiing, there are numerous places for hiking too.
